The men behind The Taart van m’n Tante are Siemon de Jong and Noam Offer.Once started as a food-service bakery, we have grown over the years to become creators of special, unusual and unique cakes. A creative team. Inspired by and working with artists, working with the media, projects from a wide range of clients, these all formed the impulse behind contunously more unusual projects. From edible clothing to opening, wedding, birth, premieres, launch cakes. The Taart van m’n Tante was doing it. Pioneers in wedding and birtday cakes. Exhibited (and eaten) at Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk, van Gogh and Utrechts museum. The cakes from The Taart van m'n Tante appeared in award-winning films like Ja Zuster Nee Zuster, Minouche and Simon. ABM-AMRO, KLM, Heineken, Sanoma, Talpa, VPRO, VARA, NCRV, EO, SBS 6, DIESEL, Levi’s, Oilily, V&D, HEMA, Hilton, Marriot, American Hotel, The Grand, Nike, Stibbe law offices, many advertising agencies, Avant-Garde, Cosmopolitan, Elle (also US and French editions), Viva, Margriet, Libelle, Elegance, Living, Avenue, Telegraaf, Volkskrant, Handelsblad, HP de Tijd, Elsevier, Finacial Times, Joods Journaal, Prins Bernhard, Prinses Margriet,Vanessa Paradise, Kim van Kooten, Johan Cruyff, Adele Bloemendaal, Theo van Gogh, Wim Kok, Job Cohen, Vanessa, Patty Brard, Paul de Leeuw, Katherine Keyl, Ruud van der Peyl, Erwin Olaf and many others have eaten or written about our creations. Items have been made about us and our cakes for the Japanese, American (NBC), French, German, Belgium, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian and of course Dutch television.
